Meghan Brewer is the founder of Spotted Snout and a Certified Professional Canine Nutritionist (CPCN) through the Feed Real Institute, as well as a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT). She helps dogs and their owners thrive using positive reinforcement, practical guidance, and individualized training. Meghan believes every dog has the potential to be their best self, and she empowers owners to communicate, understand, and strengthen their bond with their furry companions.
Life with My Dogs
Cova, our family dog, is the true heart of Spotted Snout. Her spotted snout is not just adorable, it is part of the reason the brand exists. Meghan grew up training Cova, and it was through her that Meghan discovered her passion for dog training. Cova’s personality, curiosity, and eagerness to learn taught Meghan the foundations of positive reinforcement, consistency, and building strong bonds with dogs. She will always be the inspiration behind everything Spotted Snout represents.
In 2024, Meghan welcomed Aspen, her Labrador, into the family. Aspen has been her sidekick ever since, training alongside Meghan in countless sessions and now competing in dog sports. You will see Aspen often during sessions and consultations, where she helps demonstrate techniques, reinforce training methods, and show how fun and effective positive reinforcement can be.
Meghan also has two cats, Houdini and Gunther, who round out the family and remind her every day that pets of all kinds bring joy, personality, and heart to a home.
My Story
Meghan has always known she wanted to work with animals. Her love for dogs led her to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Business Management at Siena College, along with an entrepreneurship minor focused on the pet industry. During this time, she launched her first business, Pawket Vet, giving her a unique perspective on how the pet industry impacts dogs and their owners every day.
Her approach combines business knowledge with real-world training expertise. Meghan continues to grow through mentorship with experienced trainers such as Alissa from Old Dogs New Tricks Dog Training and Becky from Good Choice Dog Training. She also volunteers with local shelters and is an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator.
